New glasses don't fit, do I have rights?

I recently bought new glasses at an independent opticians, the most I've ever spent on a pair. But when they arrived, with the extra weight of the lenses (high prescription) I realised most of the weight is going through the bridge of my nose, instead of the pads on the sides of the nose. My nose is basically too skinny (or the glasses are too wide at that point) for the weight to fall on the pads. They are acetate frames so not ones with separate pads.
I'm absolutely gutted and can't see how they could adjust this. Obviously I'll talk to the opticians but do I have any rights to a refund here?

Yes u can return ! I have many times !!
Just be firm and polite if their good they will do it without quibbling !!

Yes, I have before. I also learned I cannot wear the plastic frames for this reason - they just don't work for me. Sad in one way, in another makes it much easier when picking new frames as I can just bypass and go straight to ones that will work!

They may try and adjust but it won't work !
If u have high prescription u should get extra light lenses if u can x

This is why I go to Specsavers - you can take them back for any reason for up to 100 days. I had one pair that didn’t suit me and they exchanged them for me. It might say on the receipt what the returns policy is for the shop you bought them from.
