Social Media Detox January

In addition to doing Dry January, I have decided to skip social media for the month: especially Instagram. I've only been off it about ten days and I'm already feeling my mental health improve. There is so much utter crap on there, you don't fully realise it until you take a step back.

I'm doing it too, hoping to keep it up. Need to re-train my brain not to need the constant dopamine hits

What are you finding you're doing instead of being on your phone?

Erm oxymoron

Yup. MN is a large-scale social media platform!

I just knew that someone would come along to say something like 'but Mumsnet'. I should perhaps have said 'Meta Detox' but I do think that there is ad difference between an image heavy medium like Instagram and somewhere like Mumsnet.

You mean 'irony' or 'contradictory behaviour'. The term 'social media detox' is not an oxymoron.

I'm exercising more and doing my other hobbies. It's great!
