Royal Mail - tracking isn't updating/parcel isn't moving

Anyone know how I can find out what's going on?

Parcel was sent via 48 hour delivery last Monday. On Weds it arrived in Manchester, but the tracking hasn't updated or changed since then. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact anyone to find out what is happening.
It was for a high value small parcel...

I had this in November we had to wait a certain amount of time, file an investigation online and then allow them 30 days to look into it……. When we chased them It was miraculously delivered to the destination address on day 33. meanwhile the tracking said it was at a random depot still…… so don’t lose all hope just yet

Can you go into your local sorting office? I did for a parcel that hadn't moved and he was able to tell me that for some reason it was being processed manually instead of automatically. Turned out packing was damaged and it had been rewrapped in plastic so couldnt go through machines

@DysonAirVap that's encouraging - but how did you chase them? That's what I want to do!

@helpfulperson I will try that... sorting office has always been astonishingly unhelpful, but you never know...

I'm wondering if there is any way this is a scam, because it was a great price for a high value thing, which now rather conveniently has got 'lost'. But it did get somewhere in the system, so I'm not sure how such a scam would work...
