Yes, it’s basically just super thick bleach but definitely made a difference in our bathroom.

AuntyBulgaria · 11/01/2026 15:46

It worked for me!

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 11/01/2026 15:47

Wow, a wonder product that actually works? Surely not!

Suntree32 · 11/01/2026 15:48

I've got some being delivered today, so that's good to hear!

WifeOfBaths · 11/01/2026 15:48

It is actually quite good. As @britespark1 said it’s thick bleach - like a gel so it stays put and bleaches the mould in grouting really well.

Arraminta · 11/01/2026 15:48

Yes it does genuinely work.

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 11/01/2026 15:49

Yes it works wonders!

mumnosbest · 11/01/2026 15:51

Another positive review from me. It really does work like it does in the ads. Leave in and wipe away!

dailyconniptions · 11/01/2026 15:53

Do you mean bought? Yes I did and it worked OK but the horrible mouldy grout returned after a month or so. I think bleach makes grout more porous so I think it's not helpful really in the long term. My grouting was done in 1994 though, so is ancient!

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/01/2026 15:59

Bleach isn’t the best treatment for mould, if you’re worried about mould not just aesthetics. It makes it lighter, and therefore looks better, but it makes mould as prevalent, not less.

Detergent.

MrsLeonFarrell · 11/01/2026 16:00

We bought from Must Have Ideas. It isn't bleach because it smells different more like chlorine. It takes a while to wipe off so i wouldn't do too much at a time. Having said that it really works.

Malcthecat · 11/01/2026 16:16

Chlorine is bleach.

Karmakamelion · 11/01/2026 16:18

Its brilliant. I've bought it for all my family but mould does return

BeRoseSloth · 11/01/2026 16:18

Does bleach really kill the mould or just bleach it so you can’t see it on the sealant?

MyballsareSandy2015 · 11/01/2026 16:19

I bought some recently and DH used it then announced it was shite and I’d been ripped off. I am now going to try to myself after reading this!

WifeOfBaths · 11/01/2026 16:22

So now after commenting on this I am
get spammed with Mould Magic adverts. The videos actually make it look worse than it is! They have clearly used some black powder or something as you can see it being smeared as they wipe away the “mould”.

rainandshine38 · 11/01/2026 16:26

It’s claggy bleach that clings to grout. Usually works well.

BlackSheepThisYear · 11/01/2026 16:26

I used it. Wasn’t impressed. Only cleared up patches of the mould and it was very smeary and difficult to clean off. Mould came back quickly too. Got a refund.

The second one. Plus making the sealant less of a sealant.

TheCurious0range · 11/01/2026 16:30

I used it but on hair dye stain on sealant and it was brilliant.

ElegantFowl · 11/01/2026 16:38

Neat bleach will have the same effect. It kills mould on the surface only, which is why it comes back. To eradicate it, you need to both clean the mould from the surface and also something to penetrate into the substrate to kill the roots and stop it returning.

Bactdet and Halophen will do this.

Interesting! So do you remove the sealant, do bactdet the Halophen then renew the sealant? Or Bactdet, new sealant, Halophen?

Or can you do it without renewing the sealant and grout?

mazedasamarchhare · 11/01/2026 16:45

White wine vinegar, it kills the root of the mould. You have to do it religiously, everyday for a week, then once a week for six weeks. After that just apply when you see the spores coming through.

DarkForces · 11/01/2026 16:47

It's good on mould in grouting. Sadly not the hair dye the previous owners used in the shower and let set 😡

Monkey44 · 11/01/2026 17:01

Tried it on patches near our windows, it didn’t work and was really difficult to remove, gunky and sticky. It was rubbish for us!
