Tell me your unhinged dream that you remember

just that - ill go first

Last night I dreamt that I had a fairly large spot on my nose that had a piece of dried skin over it. So I picked the skin off and i unclogged a plug leaving me with a gaping big hole but smaller than my nostril.
At first blood came gushing out and then my whole nose deflated. 😆
I had a special occasion to go to so I was in a quandary about whether to go to the hospital or not 😆😆😆😆

Mum died recently, I had a dream that she was walking up the path (mobility regained).

Me and the cat were staring at her (cat has also died) then mum said she was going to go to her old residential home to say hello. I tried to reason with her and told her that they knew she was dead but she was adamant and off she went. Me and cat just looked at each other and said "oh no".

It wasn't a bad dream BTW :)

I am a prolific dreamer. I have magical, crazy, beautiful, bizarre, weird, awesome, strange dreams almost nightly. Sometimes I wish I were sleeping beauty, so my dreams could just continue... but the most unhinged... the dream where someone was shooting at me. I took cover behind a hill, but the Shooter caught up with me & whilst I was on the ground, the Shooter pointed the gun at my head & Was going to execute me...then I woke up, right before I was about to get shot in the head. That was one of the few unpleasant dreams I've had.

I had a completely weird one the other day that I sprayed heaps of bug spray on my dog on purpose, then was worried that he was going to die as I was waking up. Bloody awful.

I've got one that was from about 15 years ago but I still remember it because it was so vivid.

I was in an ambiguously middle Eastern war torn village, hiding from zombies (the zombies were like the ones from I Am Legend). I had to find a key for a safehouse and in the process of looking for it I found a little girl hiding and brought her with me. For some reason I only had half of the safehouse key and had to find the other half and the dream was largely just dipping between ruined houses trying to avoid the zombies and protect this little girl.

Eventually I found an old man who gave me the other half of the key and told me it was me or her.

When we reached the safe house we had to climb a ladder to an attic hatch and as we were going up zombies started grabbing my ankles, I managed to open the hatch and shove the little girl through but the zombies pulled me down the ladder and I landed on my back hard. They crowded me and started strangling me.

I woke up with my blanket wrapped around my neck having fallen out of bed. As someone who usually just dreams about work it was quite a shock.

I frequently have insane dreams but most I forget quite quickly as another insane dream replaces it in my thoughts but I do remember one where my mum was kidnapped by Johnny Depp, who was on speed.

One dream I've never forgotten, from 20 years ago, is Big Gay Eggs. In my dream I was in a supermarket with my mum and we were looking for eggs, found them but instead of being in cartons they were loose on the shelves, and I saw some that were much bigger than normal eggs and were the colour purple. I asked a shop worker what they were and he said they were big gay eggs which made perfect sense at the time.

I have vivid mad dreams a lot and they often have a lot going on.
Here's a short one.
I was making lemonade with Donald Trump ,we then got in to a row because he wasn't squeezing the lemons properly 🤷🤯

I once dreamt I was with Peter Andre in his mysterious girl cornrows phase.
Even in the dream, my subconscious was going EWW

A few years ago I was taking medication that made my dreams so realistic , they were so mundane and about ordinary day to day stuff that sometimes I struggled to distinguish what was dream and what was memory, my usual dreams are crazy and a lot of the time I know I'm dreaming during so it was a huge departure.

When I was a child i had a dream that i had boxes and tubes of smarties stacked up on the end of my bed I remember reaching for them and they had gone !
Apparently I had woke my parents crying about the fact that someone had broke in.and stole my sweets

Snugglything · 09/01/2026 18:47

I dreamt that I had to take a cow home on the bus with me. It lay down on the gangway as it was too large to sit on a seat and no-one could get past it to get off at their stop. Another time I dreamt I had stolen a coach and was doing donuts in the street in it. IRL I never take the bus and rarely go on a coach so goodness knows where all that came from!

ultracynic · 09/01/2026 18:50

Skeletons marching up the stairs towards me as I crossed the landing for a night time wee. I was only about 8 and I didn’t dare go back to sleep for a couple of days. I have never, in the 40+ years since and except when pregnant, needed the loo in the night!

Partner used to live in a mobile with his job and it was situated at the top of a hill. I had three or four recurring dreams that a helicopter was in trouble and I scrambled out of bed and stood outside watching as it crashed and the rotor blade flew towards me. If I watch helicopter crashes on YouTube or Facebook I feel incredibly scared and panic stricken.

Last night, I vividly dreamt that an elderly man drank my Bailey's in a pub so we had an angry scuffle. The pub owner was annoyed with me and so he deliberately ruined my class' performance in a singing competition. I was furious and shouted a lot about leaving a crap review for his pub.

TigerRag · 09/01/2026 19:22

Very old but it involved trying to dispose of a dead body...
