Refused a breast reduction

I'm so totally fed up. I'm absolutely desperate for them to be gone. I'm a 38N, fitted by Bravissimo, and they cause me constant pain, anxiety and are stopping me from doing so much. I'm actively trying to lose weight but it's not coming off my boobs so they look even bigger in comparison. I'm terrified I'm going to end up like my mum who has multiple things wrong due to her weight. Genuinely feel like crying at the moment and don't even know if it's worth trying to appeal.

well I’m glad a 16yo still growing autistic child wasnt immediately approved! that would be very inappropriate. she can have another consultation as an adult

It's very easy to make a judgement comment when you have no idea of the situation we were facing. When you have a young person who is unable to wear any form of bra and as a result in her head, cannot possibly go anywhere because of how she looks, is a small glimpse into her world. I suggest thought and kindness is a better response. These types of comments are one of the reasons I usually don't bother replying.

Your breasts will shrink if you get down to a healthy weight, even if they are the last thing to go.

You need to lose weight. I’m sorry but that will help a great deal

Many plastic surgery clinics offer payment plans , it may be worth exploring

Could you save up for it, or get a loan and pay that back in increments?

I do feel for you OP, but I can also see that the person making this decision will be working with a very limited budget. Do we spend on a cancer therapy that gives a dying father another six months with his wife and children, or a breast reduction when the condition is not terminal?
It’s brutal but this is the problem with a limited budget unfortunately…
