Baby won’t nap in the house

Help! My 4-month old just won’t settle/nap in the house at all during the daytime. He has been like this since 2 months - he will only nap on the go, ie. In the pram, car or carrier. He fights every nap, even with well timed wake windows and following all the cues. He used to contact nap 💤 but he won’t do that now. Essentially I have to be out of the house and on the move every 1.5-2 hours during the day. It’s exhausting.

In between this and feeding I can’t get anything done, and it’s never long before I have to get out and about again. It’s tough at the moment as it’s so cold and dark so early, his last nap of the day is a real struggle.

Nights aren’t too bad. We have a routine and then baby wakes 2 times.

Did anyone else experience this?
I’ve tried wearing the carrier in the house but he will scream and scream without the fresh air. If I try and come home whilst he is asleep in there he wakes up instantly.

My first was like this, it was exhausting. He used to sleep at night in his cot but not a chance in the day time. We planned our day around 2 long naps one involving a walk with the pushchair, If I walked for an hour I might get a 30 min window where I could stop for a coffee and then in the afternoon always a drive e.g to the supermarket. I used to take a flask of tea and a book or magazine so that when we returned I just say in the car till he woke. It sounds crazy that I put up with it now but its what worked. And I would've swapped baby number 2's routine if I could. Baby 2 slept in the day time with a bit of shushing and putting but woke on the hour all through the night and for the day at 5 am 5 am starts carried on till they started school too.
