Yes l have snow.. Yorkshire here.. but not much.. and I'm not that cold ( in the house.. heating on). Sat went to visit my sister who lives near the North York Moors..but this side.. not as far as the coast.. it was bad in Whitby/ Scarborough/ Robin hood bay.. etc.. Farmers were helping stranded drivers.. even towing a double decker bus.. roads were closed. Guess im hard living here up north lol
See my photo.. latest joke going round lol.🤣

Yes but not too badly…about 3 inches this morning. Estates were slippy but main roads mainly ok.

It’s BLOODY FREEZING though…minus 5 here, with weather apps saying ‘feels like minus 11 due to wind chill’.

Honestly…my clasroom was arctic today! Children back in tomorrow…send yours in with plenty of layers, they’re going to be cold! 🥶

Oh…rural Lincs 👌🏻🥶

PluckyChancer · 05/01/2026 15:54

I’m in southern Ireland and no snow although lots further up north. It was minus 2 this morning and very frosty. We rarely get proper snow and DS is disgusted by that fact. 😂

blackheartsgirl · 05/01/2026 15:58

North East Wales here. Had about 4 or 5 inches here but further up from me, they’ve had between six inches to a foot in places

Plump82 · 05/01/2026 16:04

Just outside Glasgow. The day started at -5 but the weather has been absolutely beautiful with the sun streaming in so my living room was actually pretty warm! Really felt it when taking my tree down! It's currently 1° and says snow from tomorrow but I'll take it with a pinch of salt! It is very, very icy and I've just had a text from my husband who from what I can tell has had a pretty horrible fall on his way home from work. I'm hoping he's ok.

Lakeyloo · 05/01/2026 16:05

South Coast (about a mile from the sea - Sussex) light dusting early this morning and going to be -5 tonight apparently ! Unusual for us to drop that low or see any snow here. Currently 3 degrees and I'm freezing.

caringcarer · 05/01/2026 16:44

Staffordshire had a couple of cm's of snow but I think Stafford had more. It's -1 outside at the moment but I'm toasty inside.

chattyness · 05/01/2026 16:56

We've had lots ... north west coast of scotland t's meant to be -2 out apparently. I'm not feeling as cold as I usually do as I've been out in the snow playing with my dog for the last couple of days.
You know what seems odd though (to me anyway) I haven't seen or heard any children playing in it, they play out in the street or their gardens all year round here but there's no sight or sound of them & the schools are shut.

Digglesthedog · 05/01/2026 17:05

I have no idea of the temperature but we have knee deep snow, north east of Scotland.

SparklyGlitterballs · 05/01/2026 17:08

Nothing where I am in SE London but my friend in Aberdeen has 2ft of snow.

BendingSpoons · 05/01/2026 17:09

London - we had a bit of snow on Friday and some is still hanging around as a layer of ice, including over the whole of the school playground. (They gritted a path at the edge but the kids have been kept inside today). It's been fascinating seeing where gets the sun (so has all melted) and where doesn't.

isitmytime · 05/01/2026 17:10

Midlothian had nothing. It’s not particularly cold just now but was -4 this morning when I left for work.
my car screen wash only defrosted at 1200 despite it being a beautiful bright day.

Belladog1 · 05/01/2026 17:11

I'm on the boarder between Suffolk and Norfolk. Had snow on Saturday which hadn't melted as its been too cold, then another load last night. Driving to work wasn't too bad. It's currently -1

Didshejustsaythatoutloud · 05/01/2026 17:50

Rather cold here near Glasgow, smattering of light snow yesterday.
The low winter sun is bloody dangerous when driving, scary.

P00hsticks · 05/01/2026 17:58

Whitby - snow still on the ground here from overnight Friday and we've had further light snow showers today. The town was completely cut off on Saturday for a time as all roads out were impassable but I think they're mainly open again now, although they closed off the A174 at one point yesterday due to high waves going over the road. (We're just staying in in the warm - I stocked up on shopping last week when I saw the forecast)

peoplegetready · 05/01/2026 18:00

Norht west Highlands, at least a foot of snow and very cold

Snowcoldsnow · 05/01/2026 18:01

Shetland, tons of snow, all the schools have been shut today and tomorrow. The buses aren't running and the airport has been shut. I've spent the day trying to dig our drive out as the snow has drifted and it is over 3 foot deep. It's probably going to take me another day of digging.

Londonnight · 05/01/2026 18:03

Stoke on Trent. Had a fair amount of snow overnight. Minus 7 when I got up this morning.

Sgtmajormummy · 05/01/2026 18:03

North East Italy. We’ve had intermittent snow in the air all day here in town but with 3•C it melts as soon as it hits the ground.
DC1 is in the mountains and 8cm fell last night.
Of course the local population is bundled up in technical gear. I’ve just added a hat.
DDog does NOT like having to wear a fleece-lined raincoat.

Natsku · 05/01/2026 18:10

Finland. Hardly any snow in my area, only 7cm, there's usually much more this time of year but this winter has been odd. Cold though, was -24 this morning when I left for work, though it's warmed up to a balmy -16 now.

The ice on the lake is 23cm thick though!

NE Scotland. Loads and loads of snow. Haven’t seen snow like this since I was a child. Wishing I was young again and out sledging! 🛷

Have you not seen that commercial of adult women sledding together? Looks like a great time!

notwhereitsat · 05/01/2026 18:15

North Yorkshire coast here, we've had lots of snow since Friday and it snowed again today. I'd cleared my bin (of 4 inches of snow) but there's another 3 inches on it. It's 0 degrees.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 05/01/2026 18:16

Near Glasgow. No snow at all, or within sight, but bitterly cold.

What! I’m in Midlothian and it’s absolutely freezing. -1, a “feels like” of -5, snow and ice (mostly ice) warning until 11am and I have a bloody consultant appointment at 9am. I think you’re made of much sterner stuff than me! Good on ya.

We had a dusting of snow yesterday but it’s gone.

Nincompoo · 05/01/2026 18:18

-7 first thing the last 2 mornings according to my van, +1 when I took the dog out this afternoon and -4 now. Couple of inches of snow.

West Midlands.

SucculentWindowLedge · 05/01/2026 18:19

NW wales in the mountains. We’ve had a foot and are stuck in by icy roads. Schools
already cancelled tomorrow.
