I'm thinking of getting my first bag.

Would welcome thoughts

Pret is the best one I’ve had, followed by M&S.

Aldi was ok, but they gave me two big trays of cupcakes, which I just binned.

Aldi has been good for me, I was telling the manager about a rubbish bag I had from Booths while I was waiting. “Hang on” he said and then lugs out a load of boxes and tells me to take whatever I want Blush

Morrisons used to be good but now often not

The grocery one is good at my local Morrisons if you have a freezer as it has lots of fruit and veg -as pp said, it often has a lot of the same thing so like 30 ripe bananas and several bags of salad.

The timing can be a challenge - if you pick up a bag at 9pm, and get eg sandwiches, pork pies or pasties that expire on the day and say 'do not freeze'... you'd have to be happy to risk eating them the next day.

Local to us there are lots of nice sounding ones ie Tortilla restaurant, Dosa restaurant, but you have to collect at closing time ...might suit ppl who work nights I guess.

As long as you're prepared for the fact some bags contain loads and some hardly any then it's all good.

We do it regularly from the Waitrose service station about 10 mins away. £5.50 and sometimes it's 5 sandwiches and a random pizza. However sometimes it's two steak pies, two dauphinoise potatoes, two chips, three packs of pain au chocs, a couple of sandwiches and a couple of yoghurts.
They do one box (crisp box) and only one regardless of what they've got left as the in store staff can't alter the amount.
We do it if we've got freezer space as the few smaller boxes are outweighed by the times we get huge bundles.

We don't do the costa anymore as they do three items per bag regardless if they have loads and have been seen binning stuff despite having 5 bags with 3 items on the counter waiting for collection - that's not the point of the bags imo so we don't buy them.

The subway bread ones are good for a day out as well (big family) as they feel like a treat for the kids once I've filled them.
