I have 2. First is my coffee machine. It grinds the beans, so I can have a freshly brewed coffee each morning. I love it!
Second one is a prize from postcode lottery. It's a rechargeable hot water bottle, and it's been a game changer! Especially useful for when I'm cold watching DS play rugby....

Getting air conditioning fitted in our bedroom, life changing. (Can be used to heat the room quickly as well as cool, so it’s been amazing year round!)

Also love my new car, newest car I’ve owned and every day I get in it and find a new gadget which I love and changes my life 🤣

On the less expensive end of the scale I replaced my saucepans after the panorama episode on plastics etc and can’t believe how much they’ve improved my cooking and clearing up experience! Actually don’t stick and wash up really easily.

Which saucepans do you now use if you don't mind me asking?

Oasis tickets, had to resort to paying way over face value from Viagogo 3 days before the gig but worth every single penny. I actually feel like we ripped off the tout.

Our rescue puppy!

Our new house.

My KitchenAid stand mixer.

Holiday in LA.

@SquirrelFan This year we went to Liverpool( had never been) and it was really good- Stayed in Albert Dock , ferried across the Mersey, visited The Cavern etc. We had a break in Malaga( underrated and better than Barcelona imo), we had a coastal walking holiday staying in Beer, Devon, a couple of nights in Richmond, London(ish) and lastly Southwold, Suffolk. We try to stay in a nice Air BmB or hotel and we walk everywhere.

you must have been following me😁 ..except for Malaga!

Oh really? Great taste obviously but get yourself to Malaga, we went at Easter and didn’t go for the parades but they were quite the spectacle!

Copper bath tub it's a stunner

Ooh this sounds gorgeous

GAJLY · 02/01/2026 08:10

A Swiss bath robe. It’s a spa type one. Wicks away the damp and keeps you warm. Best present ever! Also some very cheap slippers from Amazon! They are the most softest and comfortable slippers I’ve ever had!

Water distiller. The difference is incredible. I feel healthier for getting rid of tap water from my diet and the stinking shit left behind in the bottom of the thing after!!

Definitely Mounjaro and my new Henry pet vacuum. Mounjaro has helped me lose 3 stone and I feel so much better for it. Looking forward to losing the rest in 2026.

As for the vacuum, don’t have pets but do have long hair and am fed up of the hoover not picking them up properly off the carpet. The Henry had a load of great reviews and it has not disappointed.

I've got that hoover, 7 years and still going strong! The hair attachment is fantastic, the carpet looks new after I've used it (wool carpets, so it fluffs them uo too!)

A zip up dressing gown - saw the suggestion on MN for the Matalan one and its gorgeous. It zips from my neck down to my ankles so I'm always covered up wearing it!
Also, Revolution concealer for my under eyes- I never used to wear concealer but this one is lovely and a total bargain.

I'm itching to get back there after my surgery. I'm so unfit.

Good luck on your recovery - I think the will to move will put you in good stead x

My ninja slow cooker which does loads of things. I use to to saute things before slow cooking and then the keep warm function when it is cooked. It does mutiple other things though like steam, simmer and bake. I can make most casserole and stews in it without having to brown meat separately.

Barbour ankle wellies
A small canvas cross body bag for dog poo bags, hand gel, and a fold up rain poncho
Stick blender
High quality merino tights. So warm, soft and stretchy.

Which brand are the tights please?

@Dollybantree depending on your budget highly recommend the Magimix stainless steel and glass steamer as it’s super quick and should last for many years. We’ve used ours daily for 7 years and as it’s glass and stainless steel there have been no issues with it. We’ve also had the plastic ones in the past but eventually the steaming plates get brittle and split. However if you’re not sure whether or not you would use it much then a basic plastic one would certainly be fine to start with - we’d had c3 plastic ones before we bought the Magimix one.

Edited

Hi, is the Magimix big enough for a family of 4 (2 teens) with just the 2 baskets? Thanks

I managed to find an almost new modular corner garden sofa like this on Facebook for £200 and have enjoyed it so much over the summer and can't wait for spring - such a level up from uncomfortable garden chairs

Travelled a few times this year and got myself some good Sony noise cancelling headphones, it made the flights and transfers so much less stressful! Particularly when I was travelling with work and away from the kids, being able to completely tune out of all the background noise was amazing.
