DD sharing lip gloss with friends

DD7 got some kids lip gloss for Christmas. She’s asking if her friends can try it on too. WWYD from a hygiene perspective - is it a no to share lip gloss or is it ok?

Young kids do things that are not hygienic but I'd say no it's not a good habit to get into. They shouldn't be sharing lipgloss or (when older) mascara. If one of them has a cold sore she'll get it.

Cheers all. I will tell her to dab on friends fingers when or if if they ask to try.

Meghan Markle says, sure, knock yourself out.
Kate Middleton says, not so much, thanks.

Not at all. Markle came across as unhinged. She was not a 7 year old schoolgirl but a grown woman engaged to a senior royal, asking the future queen to share a personal item. This was either provocative, a sign of poor social awareness and etiquette or some odd obsessive or puerile main character behaviour. A super odd request form Meg 💋

Eeew...definitely not. I still remember having impetigo all round my lips as a nipper. I had played with lipstick that half the neighbourhood kids had experimented with... It was horrendous to look at, very painful and took ages to go away. I wasn't allowed to use makeup for years after that! 60 years later and I'm still fastidious about not sharing makeup...
