My husband and I will be cosying up with just drinks and nibbles, watching it on TV. We don’t want to be outside. Too cold....

I've been in bed since about 8pm so no going out for me.

I do have an elderly dog who is terrified of a leaf blowing past the front door but seems to be oblivious to fireworks.

My last dog climbed on my head, screaming, every time. I do miss him.

Atm there is the odd huge bang, old lady is on my bed. The only recognition of a firework is a massive foul fart, loud snore, fidget and snoring again.

There really is no need for people to buy fireworks anymore. There are some great public displays to enjoy. If you can't be bothered to go out and watch a display, there are loads live streaming.

Love the sound of your old dog. Your description made me laugh. A random firework just went off outside my window and made me jump. I nearly spilled my wine.😅🍷

Yes but in the uk it’s happening several times a year. It’s awful for the environment.

Several times a year is definitely too much, needs more regulation in the uk

Won't be long until the London fireworks are on pay-per-view TV, what with the banning of the free watch point at Primrose Hill.
