Anyone want to do 75 Hard with me in January?

The rules are:

2 x 45 minute workouts a day. One must be outside (a dog walk counts).

Stick to a healthy eating plan of your choice and strictly no alcohol.

Drink 1 gallon of water a day.

Read 10 pages of a non fiction book every day.

Take a daily progress pic.

I'm planning to do 45 minutes of yoga every morning and a dog walk in the evening. I already eat quite healthy but I will cut out the sugar and switch to an oat milk without oils/additives as I drink gallons of the stuff.

Take a daily progress pic
Why?

I thought it sounded quite interesting until this. Why make something that should be about personal improvement into something performative?

She didn’t say you have to show anyone the pic 😵‍💫

That is true.

But I can see the point in the other things OP mentioned whereas it just really really grates on me that every single thing in life has to be photographed now .

Does nothing exist or have any meaning unless there is a photo of it?

I'm game for this. I won't be taking a progress pic daily or otherwise as it's not something that motivates me but very much up for the rest... It's definitely about time!!

I will be starting on the 5th Jan as off visiting family on the 1st till then so won't be able to participate before.

TittyGajillions · 29/12/2025 09:10

Exercise and healthy eating, sure. The rest is bullshit.
Read what you want, drink when you're thirsty, no one needs a daily progress pic.

UnaOfStormhold · 29/12/2025 09:39

A gallon of water a day is far too much, I believe the recommendation is 2-2.5 l per day which includes intake from food, but 4 gallons is over 4l! Plus rest days are very important for recovery.

ParCarking101 · 29/12/2025 10:07

Why are all the naysayers piling on, so? Just scroll on by if it doesn't appeal 🤷‍♀️

And as for rest days, op doesn't say how much intensity just 2 x 45 min pet day one outside, and if one is a dog walk it's hardly overdoing it is it? Neither is yoga tbh (depending on intensity).

Anxietyspiral · 29/12/2025 10:59

Yeah, you dont have to show anyone the picture, and the fitness police aren't going to bang down your door if you forget to take one! I'll probably take weekly pics or every few days. It would be interesting to see the progress.

My workouts will be a 45 minute stretch and a dog walk so hardly overdoing it!

1 gallon of water is just over four litres. That’s not healthy, unless you are morbidly obese or working out in serious heat.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 29/12/2025 12:00

Drink 1 gallon of water a day.

Eight pints? Eight?!?!

I’m doing this again, did it last year, I enjoy the progress pics as you really get to see the difference. Did my outdoor work out this morning and deciding what book I’m going to go with! The only one I don’t get too fussed about is the water
