Who is back to work tomorrow?

I’ve had a lovely break since Xmas Eve, albeit busy hosting which hasn’t always been easy.
Back to work tomorrow and I’m going to miss my DCs, I’ve really enjoyed spending time with them.
I did work Xmas day for many years as a nurse, my role has changed in recent years and I’ve been lucky to work more social hours. However, really wish I could keep this little Xmas bubble going.

Me. I had Xmas day and boxing day off + the weekend though. No urge to go in tomorrow but hey ho

PhantomAfternoonTea · 28/12/2025 21:04

Me, but fortunately I'll be working from home and it'll hopefully be a very quiet day.

runningonberocca · 28/12/2025 21:08

I’m back too. NHS so very fortunate to have had Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the weekend off. Feel like I’ve been off for weeks. Love my job but I’m really not looking forward to going back tomorrow!

cobrakaieaglefang · 28/12/2025 21:08

Me too..retail..

Auroraloves · 28/12/2025 21:10

Yes, NHS. Have had a lovely 4 days off though, and I’m only on Monday and Tuesday then off until the 6th January

farmlass · 28/12/2025 21:11

Self employed so short day Monday to keep things from piling up .
Have taken the rest of the week off so quite happy .
It’s been a fab Christmas.

hby9628 · 28/12/2025 21:13

Me. But only half a day tomorrow & half a day on weds. Back properly on 5th so can’t really complain too much

StrangewaysHereWeCome · 28/12/2025 21:15

Checking in. Can't complain too much though - 9-7 on site tomorrow, 8-12 WFH on Tues, and then off again. I am expecting tomorrow to be super-busy though.

DarkForces · 28/12/2025 21:18

Yup. NHS too but I'm looking forward to getting back to it and having some time to do some of the stuff I've not had the head space to deal with yet

ExquisiteDressing · 28/12/2025 21:18

Yes, this morning I was feeling restless and looking forward to it but by this afternoon I had settled into home mode and would quite like another day at home. But it will be quiet at work and nice to see my colleagues.

Waitingfordoggo · 28/12/2025 21:19

Yes but I worked yesterday too so I’m already back in the swing. Got a few more days off later this week though and then a holiday in four weeks’ time. 🥳

Highnone · 28/12/2025 21:22

I am looking forward to using the next three days to really progress a piece of work that I just need some time and headspace for.

I’m really going to miss my kids - they are travelling for a few days away with my DH to visit family.

Another NHS worker back to it tomorrow and Tuesday then off until 7th Jan. I usually work the end of the week but I've swapped my days to help the service as DH is at home with the kids. I had to write 'go to work' on the calendar so I remember to go in!

Sunshineandswimming · 28/12/2025 21:48

Yes, I'm back tomorrow too (Monday) and I also work in the NHS. I feel very lucky to have had 5 days off so I'm not complaining. I've worked Christmas day and Boxing day in previous roles/years, so I'm grateful for the break I've had. I'm also quite looking forward to getting back to a routine, eating proper food again and looking forward to a new year. I think caring for patients & knowing what they've gone through over Christmas makes me feel grateful that I've had a nice Christmas, as not everyone is so lucky.

stolenpromises · 28/12/2025 21:53

I am back to work tomorrow. Looking forward to a structured day and usual food but not the actual work.

Upthenorth · 28/12/2025 21:57

Me too but I had the last four days off so glad of that.

pinkpony88 · 28/12/2025 22:08

I’m working tomorrow but from home. The first time in my working life I’ve worked between Christmas and new year but I requested to this year because I’m away for 3 weeks in January so would rather save the leave and also have a bit more time to get everything finished before I go.

FettleOfKish · 28/12/2025 22:10

Me, although I’m technically on leave until until the 4th. A restructure since leave was all booked leaves only one customer service agent in and we’ve no idea how busy it’ll be so as department manager I’m going to go in. If it’s quiet I’ll leave again.

mum2jakie · 28/12/2025 22:12

Me! Off to bed now

youalright · 28/12/2025 22:17

Yes 😭

BringBackCatsEyes · 28/12/2025 22:17

Yes, but I’m working freelance at the moment so on I’m on my own terms - no early start! I start a full time employee role 6th Jan so this is just to boost my coffers after a period of unemployment.

mazedasamarchhare · 28/12/2025 23:15

Yes working tomorrow, tuesday and half day Wednesday. I’m totally out with my days though, so hopefully I’ll remember to turn up😬. Just admin tomorrow, so if my dh gives me a quizzical look followed by ‘I thought you were working’, it won’t be the end of the world if I’m a bit late! No one else will be in, so I’ll have the run of the place, and bliss oh bliss, the staff kitchen and chill zone all to myself! Nor will I have to look vaguely presentable! The flip side will be a huge amount of admin to get through!

socks1107 · 28/12/2025 23:27

Yes but wfh tmrw and it should be very quiet! All meetings cancelled

mondaytosunday · 29/12/2025 00:39

My son went back on the 27th. Retail. He worked Christmas Eve til 5.30 too and we live 80 miles away so he got here late that night.

Tryingatleast · 29/12/2025 06:02

Back already as in retail, and 2026 goal
is to find a job with better hours and days- worked 4 long shifts then Christmas Eve so was exhausted Christmas Day, living the dream for two days then back with a bang. My youngest told me he was gutted I was missing so much fun. I’m so done.
