She owned her views and didn't blame them on anyone or anything else or appeal to authority. She was accountable. Love or hate her views, there is room for admiration of that, surely?
Which is more than can be said for anyone acting in the name religion when they behave in rascist, misogynistic or homophobic ways, as is often the case. At least have the moral certitude to do it off your own back. Same goes for anyone repeating 'fascist' with no explanation or nuance, because, you know I'm 'liberal'.
