On hold, how long is too long?

Have just had some furniture delivered, was put together by the delivery team and everything looked good.
on closer inspection, the legs are wonky!

I’ve been on hold for 10 minutes trying to reach someone so far.

How long is too long on hold for customer service?

I waited an hour and a half once 🙃

It's a really busy time of year for most businesses unfortunately. Have they got any email or chatbot support?

I will wait for 30 minutes then I'm out. Do they have a live chat thingy you could use??

I guess it depends what else you have to do. Do they have one of those auto voices that tells you what position you are in the queue? If you're moving up I would just put the phone on speaker while you do something else. If no indication, then maybe another ten minutes?

10 minutes is nothing, even when it’s not so close to Christmas. Put your phone on speaker/ hands free if possible and carry on with other things

Chat bot couldn’t help and said there was no one available to pass me on to.
I’m on speaker, repetitive hold music is starting to make me twitch already. 😂
Unfortunately nothing indicating where I may be in a queue.

I hope the table wasn't for your Christmas dinner to be served on as I think your issue is very unlikely to be addressed so close to Christmas.
Try again sometime in the first week of January, with a tea by your side, the speaker on and something quiet to occupy yourself.
