Has anyone gone over from BT to EE Broadband?

I am with BT broadband and received an email offering me a faster speed for a slightly cheaper price than my current deal. I phoned up and they told me that they had an EE deal that was even cheaper. This was on Friday and the new router arrived yesterday. I haven’t yet unboxed it.

i have since looked online and have read lots of posts on various forums where ex BT customers have done this and regretted their decision. It seems to arise from problems with EE routers.

i realise that it is only likely that I am going to come across complaints and not cases where this has gone well. I wondered if anyone else had gone down this route and whether they have had a positive experience?

We switched about 6 months ago to get a much cheaper deal. Not had any problems at all with the service. Only thing that they messed up tried to pull a fast one was that we transferred our phone line as we had to switch from analogue to digital. They needed to send someone out to do this and said it would be free of charge only to find they'd then added £37 to our bill for the pleasure! We did get it refunded though.

We switched when we removed our land line about 6 months ago. It was slightly cheaper. I haven’t noticed any real difference in the speed and reliability, both are fine. The only thing we now gave an issue with is the internet disconnecting from our sky q box on a pretty daily basis.(our Tv is quite old) it appears to be a known problem, looking at reviews. Partner thinks it’s a good excuse to upgrade the Tv!

Yes we did this and I regret it. It drops out while I’m on work calls in a way that my BT never did. I’m too far in to switch back but in 18 months or whatever it is, I will be back to BT

We did this. We were told EE would be faster. It's not. It uses exactly the same infrastructure as BT does, so how can it be faster?

I don't think you can switch back because EE now own BT. We switched but have a ridiculous situation where the broadband is in my husband's name and email while the mobile phones are in my name and email and they claim they can't merge them without cancelling an account and starting again. We had access to both on the same login with BT.

I have been with EE since March. Had no issues whatsoever.

We did a few years ago, no issues at all. EE was a significant improvement as the BT internet often used to drop out.
