I was so upset about mine.
I got accepted to a really cool local radio station who were very keen for me to start. Had it all planned out with them, lots of fun things to do. A week before, school said I couldn't go due to some insurance issue.
I ended up being shoved into two shops in the city last minute, one clothes retailer and one music shop (selling instruments, sheet music etc) for a week each.
The clothing one was AWFUL. Never been so bored in my life. There was nothing to do at all. They wouldn't allow work experience on the tills, so I had to wander aimlessly around the shop, rearranging sizes on racks and putting the odd item back from the changing rooms. It was quiet, so I'd frequently done everything and just had to stand there. They didn't teach me anything at all. In the end, they said I could go home after three days as there was nothing for me to do and I clearly didn't enjoy it. No, of course I bloody didn't! It made me laugh that they were offended I wasn't jumping for joy at being stood in a shop for 8 hours with nothing to do. I was always polite and did everything I was told 🤷‍♀️
Anyway, the next one at the music shop was actually really good, lots to do, learned so much and was a nice atmosphere. The owner even gave me some money at the end of my time there and said I was welcome back.

Hospital lab - great team made it fun but I decided didn't want to do any job in healthcare.
