Any tips on insuring a shared car for 2 siblings? car is owned by parent. Thanks

If this is an additional car for them to use, insure it in one of their names with one of them being a named driver. This way they build up their own no claims and you potentially avoid inadvertently committing fraud by fronting (where an older more experienced driver is named as the main driver but are not) so they get cheaper premiums. If it’s your car and they drive it occasionally you could see them as named drivers.

@Rustymoo It is currently insured in the older childs name and she has nearly 2 years no claims but younger child has passed test and if added as a named driver and has an accident the older one loses all their no claims. Apparently solution is to buy a second car!! Any other options?

Unfortunately not. My sons were in a similar situation. We just had to hope they didn’t have an accident!
