I think the answers run into each other e.g. OHIO AND IODINE - OHIODINE, and EPCOT + COTE D'IVOIRE = EPCOTEDIVOIRE

Maybe. Haven't tried shoehorning them in the grid yet!

Or possible EPCOT + OTHELLO ?
I can't work out how the numbers relate to the clues - or perhaps you just string all the words together as best you can and the numbers then show the letters you need to use and the order you need to use them for the answer ?
So far I have as possible strings....

IRA GERSHWIN + WINNIE THE POOH + OHIO + IODINE
OTHELLO + LOUVRE
MERYL STREEP + EPCOT + COTE D'IVOIRE + IRENE ADLER

Mokeytree · 09/12/2025 11:52

Sloth + othello is possible also

I think the answer is Congratulations.

Have posted the grid, just waiting for approval.

PurpleCat88 · 09/12/2025 12:50

Ah makes sense - it must be the final puzzle

ApocalypseNowt · 09/12/2025 14:00

It is NOT the final puzzle. One more to go I think (plus there's a couple of others I can post that I did earlier).

Congratulations is correct though - you're on fire.

flipent · 09/12/2025 14:06

I'm very happy that it's not the final puzzle!

ApocalypseNowt · 09/12/2025 18:10

Here we go. I have noted letters found in the grid. I have noted number of times letters appear. Still none the wiser on this one.

I was thinking the first one would be the Oval Office, second one maybe Eminem but not sure how to get to that from the grids. Hmmmm......

The number of repeats must be something
A3
B2
C1
etc

but I can’t see what

PurpleCat88 · 09/12/2025 19:34

Just thinking out loud in case it sparks anything for anyone….

Could it be scrabble related? Each line has seven letters, so a full set of scrabble tiles

something to do with the missing letters?

The ‘PRIME’ clue, something to do with where prime numbers are in the grid……

zaxxon · 09/12/2025 21:05

I think it's a categories one. For the "ripe stuff", if you rearrange the letters, you can make a load of fruits ...

apple
banana
mango
pear
apricot
rhubarb
grape

... which leaves "fruity ace", hmm not sure that's right ...

ApocalypseNowt · 09/12/2025 21:06

7 must be the key somehow. The clue/title at the top is 24/7 crossed out then 48/7.

And each box is 7 x 7.

OP posts:
ApocalypseNowt · 09/12/2025 21:09

Could be categories - prime locations might be cities, creature feature - animals, etc.

zaxxon · 09/12/2025 21:25

For the first , the presidents:

Obama
Clinton
Washington
Roosevelt
Jefferson
Polk (who? ed.)
Bush

... which leaves you with a single V

FightNight · 09/12/2025 21:31

Looking at the creatures I have

squirrel
vole
badger
toad
mink

Not sure what to do with the other v…

parietal · 09/12/2025 22:05

I’m not convinced by the categories. Seems too vague even for this quiz, and there are too many options for “write stuff” and “melodic curtain call”. Books and songs are too vague and have too many multi word answers.
