Lime Bacardi Breezers, menthol Berkeley smokes, a LBD that was for formal occasions at university then demoted to club wear with a hoody tied round my waist.

A dab of speed just before going in…usually coming up just in time for Tubthumping. The club kicked out at 2am but we were way too high to go home. Me and my pal would carry on partying down the woods, then I’d crash at his house and wake up with a brutal hangover around Sunday lunchtime.

Those were the days.

It was the music that was the best, there was no feeling like walking into a club and going straight to the dance floor (this was before e's and whizz were popular)

spending what I am now in bloody Mounjaro I thought the other day about asking the kids if they could ‘sort me out ‘ a couple of grams of Billy to do the trick instead!

I did go clubbing a few months ago and everyone was on those laughing gas balloons. It was scary, one girl collapsed and was carried out by the bouncers 😥

Marlborough, Silk Cut? Two of the worst cigarette bands ever 🤣 I was an Embassy Number 1 girl. Loved 051 and occasionally Buzz in Liverpool. Never went to Cream, it was too commercialised for me. Fave songs Awesome 3 Don't Go, Yeke Yeke, Gat Decor Passion but version without the singing. Used to frequent another club in Aintree called The Kiss, prior to that it was Fallows. Fave song there was Bits and Pieces by Artemisia. They were such good days.

Loved Whirl-y-Gig, Dreadzone, Transglobal Underground.

I went down a bit of a nostalgia trip the other day looking up all the clubs I used to go to. What I love is that there are almost no photos of any of them. It’s all gone. Everything we did, what we wore, people we hooked up with, all vanished.

Loving the reminiscing. No pills for me in the 90s, drugs never interested me. However, snakebite and black was awesome. And another drink.. Can't remember the name but was basically cider and black with a shot of pernod in it. Clubbing at Zeus in Cardiff, esp on student nights 😍. Getting up onto the podiums to dance 👍👍. Am rediscovering clubbing now though Dayclubbing. Home by 9pm nowadays. Perfect.

I took my kids to Amsterdam for my twins 18th, my sons 21st and my daughter turned 25 the following year and had just got engaged!
They all buggered off ‘after hours’ and I declined as gotta keep up appearances and be ‘mum’ etc

i consoled myself with half a joint they had left banging around and some edibles and then enjoyed a bottle of vodka and another joint or two with the neighbours in our air b n b - was fucking brilliant.

If you live in London, Day Fever is quite good and the Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley has some awesome nights from back in the day.

I was watching classic holby city this week and it reminded me of going out drinking in the early 2000's. Butterfly clips in my hair, glitter lip gloss, glitter eye shadow and glitter hairspray. White vest top and a black bra, velvet jeans and high heeled sandals. Tiny bag just big enough for my purse and my nokia 5110.

I still go raving now, I’m always the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave. Age means nothing!
