If you're middle aged with a partner who doesn't live with you

Do you have sex in the house when DC are there?

My DC are adults. BF stays a couple of times a week. To be clear this in one man in a long time, there hasn't been a stream of them.

DC are very relaxed about me seeing him and although theyre not close (why would they be?) everything is very friendly.

BF is very reluctant to have sex when they're in the house, which is most of the time when they're not working. Sometimes we're noisy, but can do it quietly🤣

My DCs are teenagers. I’ve been with DP for 10 years. There were a good few years where we did have sex while they were in the house. They were good sleepers and we were quiet. I feel weird about it now they are older and stay up much later so we only do it when they’re at their dads.

Yes. When DC were young and I could be fairly sure once they were in their rooms they were asleep, sex was OK (with their Dad), but now as adults, they often go to bed much later than me and/or aren't necessarily sleeping if theyre in their rooms.

But they are always here!

I don't live with my partner - we don't have sex when the kids are about (Kids range from 17-21)
We never have sex when we all are on holiday either. We're both 53.

We make up for it when the kids are at their other parents.

If the kids live with you all the time could you not occasionally have a "date night" at your partners house?
