Help, missed calls from GP about test results

I had a couple of tests last week for bloating/GI symptoms.

I had two missed calls from the Gp tonight and a voicemail saying it was to discuss my results so now I am freaking out.

I can see the result of my ca125 blood test was posted on NHS app and his normal so I am guessing the issue is with the FIT stool test.

It was only done on Friday, can the results be available so soon?

I know 9/10 a positive FIT test doesn't mean anything bad but if the result wasn't crazy off the scale would the GP have tried to call twice?

To make things worse I can see I have a GP telephone appointment scheduled for Wednesday night so I won't get any answers for 48 hours (GP not in on Tuesdays).

I know noone can tell me but how worried should I be? Does this sound fairly normal process for a fairly standard positive FIT test?

I hadn't even been that worried so it has blindsided me.

@Unfittested Just came across your thread while using the search option. How are you doing now?
I've just had a indeterminate ca125 test and a positive fit test. Got a phonecall with colorectal on Thursday which i thought was worryingly quick. Doctor rang me trying to pre-empt me reading my results on the NHS app but I got there before him.
My fit test result was 34 which is higher than the normal score of 10 but much lower than the 150 for the test for older people that comes through the post.
Had suspected ibs for 10 years or so but symptoms have got worse in the last four months or so. I have pain and spend a lot of my day on the loo, but no blood. Also have intolerance to dairy and wheat.
Doc tells me it could be many things and they may just retest me in a couple of months rather than do a colonoscopy.
Hope you managed to get some answers.

@Rowgtfc72 sorry you're in this nerve wracking situation too. I had the colonoscopy and nothing was found at all, not even a polyp.

Don't worry about the speed of it all, it was the same for me. I had a call within a couple of days of the referral for some sort of assessement and the procedure was just a few days later. All done within a week, so close to Christmas as well, very impressive!

Your fit result is low too which is good. The surgeon seemed a bit unimpressed I had been referred based on my low result. I think he was full expecting to find nothing and kind of rolling his eyes that it was a waste of time.

Thanks for that. And good to hear you're doing ok now.
Just quibbling with work now over time off for the phone appointment. I get 4hrs paid for a physical hospital appointment. Have asked if this works the same for a phone consultation- I've been given an approximate time but they can't guarantee it. I work in a factory so can't really wait in a room for two hours!
