Do you think there is a correlation between people who like naps and are also outgoing, extrovert?

I am a sociable, chatty person, I am good at parties. I promise im not a twat!
I also have a people job so talking and social all day.

I find all this exhausting and have to have quiet, alone, not talking time.

I love and need a daytime nap! I feel like it desrresses and recharges me. I have a nap most days.

I was just thinking about the people I know and who else really likes and needs naps and realised it was all louder more outgoing people...interesting?

Is this same for other people's circles or maybe its just mine?

(I dont like introvert/extrovert as I think people are more complex than this. )

I'm not sociable, prefer a cup of tea and a book. I love an afternoon nap and probably manage two or three per week.

I thought it was the opposite- extroverts are energised by being with people. I am very introverted and do very little socialising but I have a job that involves being around people all day. I have a nap as soon as I get in from work.

Interesting question ! I wouldn’t class myself loud or outgoing but I absolutely love a nap ! My partner physically cannot nap and he’s a lot more outgoing than me

I think there is a correlation between people who take daily naps and people who have more time than I do! I would love a daily nap and am very jealous!
Seriously people who are extrovert need to recharge so you may be right.

I’m outgoing. Would love to nap but don’t have time so I don’t. I don’t need a nap. But love a nap.

I’m a total introvert, but my job involves being chatty and outgoing. I shut down on the bus journey home and can barely say hello to DH when I get home. I then nap for about an hour just to recharge so I can get on with dinner etc. Luckily kids are adults and left home so there’s no one else to socialise with. DH usually works until 1830 so I have the time.

Sounds very dramatic but I am nd: autistic, adhd, dyslexic and dyspraxia and working as a PA means I am masking for 8 hours a day. Plus the concentration on actually doing my job is insane. But I love it so it works for me. Just knackering.

I think (could be wrong) that extroverts get their energy from socialising, so I don’t think you’re an extrovert

Firefly45 · 30/11/2025 22:51

As i said I dont like extrovert and introvert. Im definitely more complicated than that. I meant people who are outgoing, chatty, 'performing' in social wok situations..I cant think of a different word to extrovert but hopefully you all know what i mean
