How would you go about finding the best pediatric eye surgeon (strabismus?)

Just that! We are at the point of going ahead with surgery for DS's strabismus. We are at Moorfields. The orthopist there mentioned that we could pretty much choose any surgeon in the country (could that be right?!?)

How would I go about choosing a surgeon? At our next appointment, I will ask the orthopists again and the doctor but it would be nice to have other ideas (or ideas of how to figure it out.)

Thanks!

As someone who has been under the care of Moorfields since I was 4 months old (now late 40s) both under private & NHS care, i wouldn't go anywhere else.

They have been incredible all the way through my life & including 2 x DC who were under Pediatrics until they were 2.
I've had strabismus surgery there (amongst many other eye surgeries) and if they can help your little one, then I wouldn't suggest looking anywhere else

Moorfields is the only place to go
