I accidentally drove right through the middle of London yesterday. So I registered on the tfl website but I can’t see that there is an option to see what I have to pay. I expect it’s ulez, congestion charge and I def went through a tunnel at least once but I honestly don’t know if I went through the silvertown on and the blackwall one. I’m loath to just pay twice if I only went trough once. Why doesn’t it give the option to see what you owe without just paying for everything on the off chance you might need to?

yes I know people who are familiar with driving around London will think I’m a div but honestly it’s hard to know where you’ve been and what you need to spy when you’ve no idea where you are

You may not be liable for ulez if you have a fairly new car. You should be able to enter your reg number to check whether you are exempt from that.

The congestion zone is fairly small - can you check your route to see if you actually entered it? Similarly for the tunnels? If not I think you will just have to pay just in case.

For the future, I would set up auto pay accounts for them all. Then you will automatically pay if you enter the zone/tunnels without having to worry.

If you can’t piece together your actual route can you tell us where you entered London , where was your destination, where you think you crossed the river, and any landmarks or features you remember passing?

There are lots of tunnels, Rotherhithe under the river and several underpasses in the Docklands area etc. The only paid tunnels are Blackwall, Silvertown and Dartford.

You can check whether you are eligible or exempt for ULEZ here: tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/

If you have location services turned on on your phone, Google maps will give you a timeline of where you went even if you weren't using the app for navigation during your journey, could be helpful to work out your route and piece together what you owe?
