Are there meteors in the sky right now?

Just saw two weird objects in the sky, moving fast what looked like downwards, with short orangey contrails. DS was worried so I said they were planes but actually the angle didn’t look right and they were moving very fast.
I am in SW London looking NE. Anyone see anything?

My husband saw something on his way home yesterday evening, 50 miles west of London. He showed me the dashcam footage - guessing a meteor/shooting star/asteroid? (I don't know the difference 🥴)

I saw something very similar at around 7.20am, north London heading south. I thought they were planes with the sunrise lighting their contrails.
