Anyone with porcelain crowns/veneers?

I asked my dentist what toothpaste I should use on my porcelain crowns. She said any regular non abrasive toothpaste, but I've been googling and I can't determine what one would be best (the abrasion charts are all American brands).
Anyone with porcelain crowns or veneers able to recommend a suitable UK brand toothpaste?

I use Sensodyne as suggested by my dentist.

Thank you. What one do you use, sensodyne seem to have so many different formulas 🤦‍♀️😂

I think you are stressing about this unnecessarily OP!

I had a porcelain crown replaced last year with I think a zircon one. It had started to crumble away but was11yrs old. I've never been told to use anything other than regular toothpaste!

I use a sensitive one- either Sensodyne or aldi/lidl sensitive toothpaste versions.

Same here, porcelain crowns for over 30 years ( replaced recently, every 10 years or so), never been advised yo use anything special!

I'm no doubt in choice overload territory 😂 My dentist tbf was pretty firm on using a suitable toothpaste, and avoiding whitening formulas.

I use whichever Sendodyne is on offer

I’ve had porcelain veneers for 15/16 years and use whatever toothpaste happens to be on offer - never thought twice about it

My dentist prescribes my toothpaste. It's called duraphat. Presume it's okay for porcelain crowns as I have a couple!

NeedWineNow · 25/11/2025 23:09

I've got two porcelain crowns and my dentist has never specified anything particular I should use. I use Aldi's own toothpaste.

PARunnerGirl · 25/11/2025 23:17

Same as some other replies. Porcelain veneers here too for many years and never chosen my toothpaste based on that fact!
