What should I buy at Uniqlo

I'm going to Uniqlo today. I have not been for years and only have a plain tee shirt from there.

MN seems to really like their products so I'd love to hear your must buys.

Primarily going for a cashmere blend base layer for DD.

What should I look out for?

I would just have a look round and see what suits you. I wouldn’t buy anything though as their sale starts on Friday - order online after.

It’s fine for basics if you need that sort of thing. I don’t rate their cashmere, but their wool jumpers are fine for everyday.

TeaandHobnobs · 25/11/2025 08:30

The heattech thermals are great - I only wish they weren’t so see-through so I could wear them as a top on their own.
I got a cashmere baselayer top but I don’t think it’s that good.

Ineedanewsofa · 25/11/2025 08:34

I wad going to say don’t bother with the Heat tech stuff - massively overhyped, I don’t find them any warmer than a standard long sleeve base layer from H&M which is about £10 cheaper! They are also bloody see through! I was very disappointed as folks rave about them on here 🤣

Holluschickie · 25/11/2025 08:37

I have tons of Uniqlo stuff. I love their
Ultra light puffers. Great for travelling as they fold up very small
Heattech layers
Cashmere and pure merino jumpers are fine for me
Wide leg trousers

Letthemeatgateau · 25/11/2025 08:37

I like their heat tech t shirts with a bit of cashmere in. Really comfortable and a good layer under a jumper. They are a bit see through, but they're a base layer not a t shirt.

GlassofRosePorfavor · 25/11/2025 08:41

I was going today to buy a lightweight down coat - might hold off now then in case it goes in the sale @Prelim

reenon · 25/11/2025 08:44

Their seamless knickers are the best, expensive but last years.

Holluschickie · 25/11/2025 08:46

I love that their designs are so simple and no frills and bows.

27pilates · 25/11/2025 09:17

Their barrel leg trousers are really nice. The £35 ones. I find their sizing very inconsistent though, so try everything on.

GameOfJones · 25/11/2025 09:19

My favourite items from there are the 3D knit jumpers, corduroy trousers and the wide legged jersey trousers.

catontheironingboard · 25/11/2025 09:27

The viral bag, of course!

Vinorosso74 · 25/11/2025 09:31

I like the zip up fluffies. They cost about £25 and are very cosy.

Summerhillsquare · 25/11/2025 11:56

I wear their vest tips with built-in bra. Comfy and reasonably supportive and I'm an E cup. I do worry about the ethics of their supply chain tho so am looking for a more ethical source..

UpMyself · 25/11/2025 12:00

T-shirts, they're great. Even I have the uniqlo bag!

CraftyNavySeal · 25/11/2025 12:06

The shoulder bags, the raincoats if you’re after one, bras, knickers, heat tech tights, woolly hats

Nelliemellie · 25/11/2025 12:14

They are very good quality, I have items from Uniqlo for years and years
The jogging bottoms are my favourites.

LBB2020 · 25/11/2025 12:27

The jersey barrel leg trousers are lovely. Smart enough for work but also great dressed down casual for the weekend.
The seamless down coats and jackets are good too.

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 25/11/2025 13:29

Nobody has mentioned socks yet, they do some lovely lounge and thermal socks that don't strangle your feet and calves.

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 25/11/2025 13:36

I love the Heattech cashmere base layer stuff - find it really warm without bulk, and the ones I have (which are dark colours, does that make a difference?) are perfectly decent on their own when I get too hot.

MyIvyGrows · 25/11/2025 13:39

jumpers, the half moon bag, jacket, jersey trousers.

The heattech jogging bottoms are amazing but they seem not to sell them anymore!

Ah but its changed! I have the old one with a strap with a clip, back pocket inside pocket and a pleat so its roomier. The newer one isnt as good.
I like the cashmere base. Yes a bit sheer but warm and comfy. Buying some for son il fir skiing.
Their socks are good. Firm around the ankle but not tight on my thankles.
Im always disappointed by the reality of the shop.
