Gdansk or Krakow?

Which one would you prefer for a weekend away a week before Christmas ?

Only been to Krakow. As soon as we walked into one of the streets approaching the square, I knew I was going to enjoy myself. Would happily go back, even on my own as it felt very safe and we were immediately in holiday mode.

Is there another airport you can travel to or perhaps different dates? That might make a difference to timings/costs.

Gdansk is just as beautiful as Krakow but feels different as it's on the Baltic coast.

Thanks everyone we have booked Gdansk as it’s cheaper and from what everyone says ..it sounds just as nice as krakow.

Gdansk is lovely. It has beautiful buildings and is cosier than Krakow. Plenty of history there if you are interested in that, I recommend the Road to Freedom Museum.

with the difference that much, go to Gdansk.

6pm flight home so much better than 6am. That would ruin the previous day for me

(disclaimer -I’ve never been to gdansk but lived in Poland and been to most Polish cities and the majority are delightful! only Katowice would I avoid)

Friend of mine went to Gdansk and lived it. Photos were stunning..
