Why is my Hive turning heating on at night?

No schedule is set and the temperature hasn’t dropped below the lowest set.
it’s been sporadic and turned the heating on several times in the night on Fri & sat.
anyone any ideas?

Our Hive won’t even connect this weekend. I wonder if Hive are having issues?

Can you see that it is on on the Hive device? I ask because my friends boiler went on the glitch and switched the heating on, overriding the Hive setting.

Have you got an alternative thermostat in the house - the one you used before you installed Hive?
Or thermostat valves on the radiators?

Where’s the boiler? Could frost protection have kicked in?

I’ve asked ChatGPT and other than frost protection it said this
Also worth checking a few things:
– Has “Boost” been pressed by accident?
– Are the thermostat batteries low or is it losing signal to the hub? That can cause it to default to heating.
– Any old schedules or holiday modes still saved? Hive can be sneaky with those!
– If you have Hive radiator valves, they can call for heat independently.

A quick reboot of the hub + fresh batteries in the thermostat usually fixes any random overnight heating issues.

Could they be overriding Hive then?
