Hi all, any help would be great, it’s my dds 5th birthday in January, so far we have done parties on her birthday but this year are thinking to do a couple of nights away somewhere she would enjoy. We would have gone to legoland but it’s closed in January unfortunately. Does anyone have any ideas for a January two night weekend to treat our 5yo? We are in London so hopefully can reach places ok.

What about Peppa Pig world at Paultons park?

If she’s a bit old for peppa pig, there is a whole theme park there for her to enjoy

What about Centre parcs?

can go after school Friday and come home Sunday evening.

Most theme parks are closed in January unfortunately.

Or what about a city break - London and doing natural history museum etc?

Or somewhere where they have the big indoor pools with slide and ice rinks etc in industrial estates and say premier inn or similar?

Have you checked with her that she doesn't want a party? If she's in reception and noticing everybody else having birthday parties she might not understand that she's getting a weekend break instead!

Whipsnade Zoo is lovely for a day out, but I'm not sure what it's like in January. There's a fab safari park place in Kent where you can stay in hotels that are in the Lion/Wolf/Giraffe enclosure.

My kids love, love Center Parcs. It’s the bikes and the freedom. We have traveled all around the world and that is their happy place. We have been 3 times. I really don’t get it but I guess it’s not aimed at me.

Definitely Center Parcs.

I think she'd probs prefer a party as 5 is prime party age.

Tamworth! There’s a snowdome there with a holiday in right next door. You can do snow play sessions. They also have an indoor pool and climbing wall etc. only about 2 hours from London. My Dc have loved it, first went at 6 and 3 and been many times since in the past 7-8 years
