Coats for teenagers / tweens

Please help! DD (12) needs a new winter coat and I don’t want to spend a fortune (even in the Black Friday sales) on something which has now gone out of fashion and she will be embarrassed by. Friends have suggested that the North Face Nuptse jacket is really popular (and it’s in the sales - hooray!) but are they still fashionable or are they on their way out now? And if so, what other coats are your teen girls willing to wear? Thank you- I am totally clueless.

Ask your DD. She is the only one who will know what she will willingly wear.

My ds is 12 and I’ve bought his last two from Vinted for about £15. I bought two because he lost the first after a week in big school 🤦🏽‍♀️
I would have been devastated if I’d paid full price. Both coats have been North Face.

Have an honest conversation with her, explain your budget, and ask her what she would like that’s weather appropriate and within that budget.

Plain black Nike puffa. Or black north face. It’s all the girls wear atm x

And this! I’ll think I’ve picked something I’m convinced she’ll like but nope!

My DC have plain black North Face coats from Vinted, socially acceptable and they were bargains

Go on Vinted, I got all my teens and tweens coats in there - expensive brands for £10 each and in great condition

Black Nike puffer here, she recently upgraded to a beige Nike puffer when she lost the black one. As soon as I bought the beige one she found the black one again. I bought both off vinted. I wouldn't spend a lot of a teen girls coat, dd loses hers all of the time and they are prone to getting swiped if they leave them down.
