Please reassure me I’m feeling so anxious

I had a job interview last week, there would still be a second interview if I passed. They said they give feedback either way.

Today I got an email saying can they call today or tomorrow to give me feedback.

I know no one can say but I’ve no idea how to even take that email .. I feel more anxious now than I did waiting before the email.

If the email didn't mention a second interview, then I would imagine it's a 'thank you, but no thank you call' and I would get it out of the way today. They could end up giving you some really good intel about how you perform at interview which you can use in the future. That's just how I would view it though and you won't know until you have the phone call of course - another reason to get it out of the way today. I would brace myself however. Sorry if it's bad news but there will be something better out there for you - I've had a bit of a run of bad luck recently in one way or another and am focusing on the fact that I just need to take each day as it comes and that better things will be ahead for me.

Well that's unfortunate - I guess they told you as soon as they were able to, we never know what is going on behind the scenes and how many people have to have conversations before they can let you know.

But all is not lost - you'd already passed two stages. The initial application and then being invited to interview. You only fell at the last hurdle, so please try not to be too devastated and reflect on the positives that have come from this. Some people apply and immediately get a 'thanks but no thanks' message.

I'd use it to galvanise my efforts and get back on the horse - there will be something out there for you and hopefully it will be a much better option for you.
