WWYD Colleague won't butt out

I need to keep a colleague on side but they stress me out so much. How would you handle it!? I dont gave to work with then often but when I do, they always have to chip in something extra I need to do or inform me of an additional person who needs to know. They also tell me people who don't need to know as its not their job, whilst ignoring the fact that they are inserting themselves in my projects when its not THEIR job.

They aren't senior to me, but a different team I need to work alongside. I need to keep them on side for harmony on ongoing joint projects but so far my attempts to keep them at an arms length are futile. Im not against calling behaviour out but I think sometimes the strength is knowing when that will help and in this instance, I don't think it would.

I would use phrases such as
yes I’ve got that covered
yes, already done
yes, that’s part of my plan
etc

Then you could have a quiet word and say thank you for your advice but I’m pretty confident that I’m on top of things. There’s no need to keep guiding me.
