Can I still buy All-Bran original anywhere?

I’ve eaten All-Bran religiously over the last 30+ years, often on a daily basis but especially when I need a little bit more help to ‘go’ Unfortunately they have changed to recipe to make the sticks plastic and waterproof - they don’t soften in the milk and they don’t do the one job that I need All-Bran to do! Plus they taste awful! I ended up not finishing the bowl and throwing the rest of the box out. This is the new ‘Fibre Plus’ recipe. I’m wondering if I can still buy the ‘Original’ recipe anywhere? I’m wary of buying online as people have said they ordered the original but received the Fibre Plus. Does anyone know if any supermarkets still stock the original or has it been completely discontinued? Thank you!

You can get it at Amazon for £9Shock or even more on eBay for £16Shock. If things are discontinued they are usually on here for a very high price.

Sainsbury’s still sell it.

750g for £3.25

Have you tried any of the supermarket own brand alternatives. I see M&S do a box of Bran Sticks that might be an acceptable substitute.

Waitrose own brand

I’m fairly sure it was on sale at Sainsbury’s yesterday

Completely unhelpful but I really like the new recipe - but I’ve always liked it crispy not sludgy. Have mine with kefir or yogurt and fruit every morning.

Thank you for all the replies. My only local Sainsbury’s is a small one that doesn’t stock the original all-bran, and my M&S didn’t have the bran sticks when I looked, so I’ve tried the Waitrose own brand today. I can confirm that they are pretty close to the original All Bran version in looks and consistency and softened nicely in the milk. They didn’t taste quite as nice in my opinion but they weren’t bad. But most importantly they’ve worked for my digestion in the same way as the original! Hooray! Certainly a massive step up from the new All Bran Fibre Plus plastic sticks. Thank you for all the help!
