My 2 year olds left eye has recently developed a green section near the pupil, has anyone else ever experienced this? Before this they have both been completely blue.

I was born with blue eyes but at some point they changed to green! Same with my two daughters.

My husband's eyes are like this - blue with green in the middle!

If you’re concerned take him to an optician.

My dd was like this, she had dark blue eyes and as a toddler 18 months to 2 yrs, changed to green. It was quite late, but it does happen. As another poster has said, get it checked with an optician, if you're worried.

My DS was born with very dark grey/blue eyes which gradually turned into the chocolate button ones he has now (I was envious of both colours as mine are a much less interesting green/blue)

I've recently been reading about eye colour (no medical training) and most sources say that human eye colour can change, sometimes dramatically, in the early years. I think it's more noticeable with lighter coloured eyes. In general, I find eye colour fascinating and there is a huge range in humans.

My older DD's eyes turned bright blue a few hours after birth and were very blue for a while. Gradually they became sort of silver coloured with yellow spots (6mos - 1yr?) and at some point they turned light green and have remained thus. As the internet info says, her eyes look darker or lighter, more or less green, depending on the circumstances. DD is a dark strawberry blonde

DD2 had sort of murky, dark grey eyes at birth and eventually these darkened to a lovely, medium brown.
Both DDs have a limbal ring around their irises, as do I but DH did not.

DH had grey eyes and all his relatives have grey or blue eyes but his father has a noticeable heterochromia in one eye.

My eyes are amber; my sister has green eyes; my mother has hazel eyes and my father has very light amber, whisky coloured eyes.

Another with a DD who was born with blue eyes, which turned green. She is a red head.

Not a medical professional but I think it’s very normal that greeny hues take longer to appear than other colours and that eye colour can still change up to about 2-3 years old. DD has hazel eyes and they didn’t reach their final colour until around that age, can’t remember exactly when but they were definitely still blue when she turned 2.
