What are some nice snacks that I can put in a hamper for a friend?

A friend has been having a hard time lately and I asked her what she’d like as a treat. She said some nice snacks so I want to make up a hamper for her. She doesn’t drink but she enjoys most foods. She loves Forest Feast so I’ll get her some of their products but I can’t think of what else to get. I considered some fancy tinned fish/seafood but not sure if that’s an odd choice.

They don’t have to be Fortnum and Mason level but something a little nicer and preferably something that’d be available in Waitrose/M&S or Sainsbury’s though.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

TIA

Things she can eat without having to prep or clean up (I’d probably steer away from tinned fish but you know what your friend likes). Nice dried fruit, medjool dates, nuts, good dark chocolate or some truffles, really nice crackers and cheese, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.

If you’re open to buying something fresh, Gimme Brownies are amazing and my go-to hamper type gift.

Thomas Fudge's florentines or viennese biscuits are extremely good. In Waitrose. Also Waitrose own mint thins or mint creams...mmm!

Thanks all. Lots of great ideas. I may have to pick up a few for me also.

M&S nutty cloud things. There are a few flavours and they are diVINE.

Can you get Bret's crisps in the UK relatively easily? I only say this because I'm semi addicted to the chèvre (goats' cheese) and piment d'espellette flavour.

In fact, I'm eating some right now.

Otherwise, if you're feeling a bit down something a bit retro and nostalgic can really hit the spot. A big packet of real jelly babies gave me much happiness last week. Much nicer than that Haribo rubbish.

I'd also kill for a proper mini pork pie.

If you still want something fishy, what about Gentleman's Relish or Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps?

(This is probably just my private cravings talking now, though.)

It it were for me, I would most relish a cheese selection and biscuits, with a side of chutneys, grapes and olives.
And crisps!
If you want to order a pre made hamper, I can recommend Piglet's Pantry. They do afternoon teas, sausage rolls, pork pie type things.

@Leeds2 I want a Piglet's Pantry large pie selection box now.
