Anyone ever had an infected saliva gland?

I’ve got one and it hurts like hell!
cant wait until the antibiotics kick in .

DH had a stone in one of his. It swelled up before meals when his mouth was watering (maybe I should have made less appetising food!) and was very painful. The stone must have escaped in the end but it went on for several months.
Have you got a blockage causing the infection?
