What family "words " do you have?

In my house:

Click click for remote
Shee shee for pony
Halva-halva means to split in two equally
Fuffim means ice cream

Most of these are self explanatory (fuffim was 2 yo DD rendition of icecream)

But I have the weirdest sense of pride when outsiders adopt then!

We had the loveliest lodger ever who was French who began asking where the clickclick was.

My colleague and I were divvying up some outstanding work that we were responsible for. She said, OK, I'll do X, you do Y, and then we are halva halva.

I'm weirdly chuffed by this.

NC as incredibly outing.

Piggy mix-because that’s what a very young DS once called pick & mix
Fageetas instead of fajitas after a waitress (30 years ago!) repeated my order back to me thinking she was correcting my pronunciation for me.

Actually, "piggy mix" works really well!!!

One of my late dads favourites was "saggers" for lasagne.

I knew my dad would have been smiling down on me when my son came out of school one day, I'd asked what he had for lunch, and he replied "Saggers".

Cow Sieve was invented by DS aged about 4, on a walk in the countryside. He’s 17 mow!
