Best value supermarket that delivers

I normally shop at Lidl due to cost primarily, but have always been happy with the quality. I’ve not really used any of the other ‘big’ ones for regular shopping in years, although I went to Sainsbury’s recently and was horrified at the cost!

Unfortunately, for the foreseeable I can’t get to Lidl and need a supermarket delivery.

Which one compares best to Lidl price wise please? In my area delivery could be from Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco, Waitrose, M&S or Morrisons.

Which should I go for please!

We use Sainsburys although they aren't cheap as you've already found out! BUT - their online service is generally brilliant and we hardly ever need to run around doing 'top ups' trying to fill gaps for missing items. Substitutions are sensible, very willing to refund if there are problems, always turn up on time, easy to swap time/date if needed. I'm not a fan of our local Sainsburys supermarket and if I want to do a walk-in shop I'd always use the Asda nearby, but Sainsburys have been hard to beat online.

We use a mix but I like Morrison's, of your selection. Low minimum order value, good range, fair prices, reliable delivery that uses the Ocado infrastructure (I think - it arrives in Ocado bags here, anyway, and the website is a bit of a dupe). Their prepared fruit is usually off so I've stopped bothering but otherwise it's excellent.

Thanks - I’m trying to work out if it’ll be cheaper to get a taxi to and from Lidl!

Sainsburys was almost double my usual spend, and that’s accounting for Lidl’s price increases recently.

I wish I lived alone - I’m happy with tea and toast for every meal! 😂
