How to I say this?

A reading from the book of Simon 32: 7-12

Obviously that’s not the real quote. Trying not to out myself.

How do I say the numbers bit?

Is it,

A reading from the book of Simon, chapter 32, verses 7 to 12

in church they usually say “The reading today is taken from Simon Chapter 32 beginning at verse 7”

You didn’t need to say it’s not the real quote as there is no book of Simon 😂😂

I mean, that's not the only acceptable intro, but it's certainly one of the acceptable ones.
