I have an old laptop that I cannot afford to upgrade at the moment, I'm running windows 10 home 2h22, fully updated but I have no link for extended support, when I go on Microsoft it tells me to click link on windows update to register but no link. I'm logged into administrator account on computer

I did have a link for extended support and clicked it. Mysteriously my laptop upgraded by itself anyway a couple of days later, so not sure the link actually did anything.

Think I'm going have word with next door neighbour(he's a computer engineer and has rescued us a few times when we've crashed computers)😀

If you go to the windows update page in settings, it will tell you that it can't upgrade and there should be a button for extended support. You do need to be logged in with a Microsoft account for it to work properly though.
