Why doesn’t Boob or Bust work for me? How else can I work out bra size?

I’ve lost over 3 stone, and my boobs have significantly shrunk! I’m trying to order some and I can’t work out what size I am. I was 34DD. These are now too big.

I’ve done boob or bust and it says 30G! G! One boob doesn’t even fill one of my hands. I could wear a G cup as a hat! They really are tiny.

Any ideas? There isn’t anywhere near or convenient for me to go and try loads on.

Because of the way it works, 30G isn’t actually a massive volume. That said, I find that with small sizes boob or bust is no use, as the actual shape of boob is too different. If you have “skinny” boobs, they can still dangle long enough to give you a bigger second measurement but the volume isn’t there to fill a cup if that makes sense?

I’d order 30f, 30g, 32ff, 32f and 32e from somewhere with free returns (Brastop) in a style you like/usually wear - then you’ll know. 34dd is the same as 30f or 32e.

Have you tried a 30G on? I would try on a 30F, 30G and 30GG for staters.

Yeah I found it didn't work after breastfeeding and losing weight because I'd lost all volume from the top. So yes they were a 28f I think technically but if I wore that bra the cup would just be empty.

People in that situation suggest half cup or balconette. I found neither worked.

Do now I've gone back to old school sizing and just wear a 32D. It's comfy and the boobs fill the cups now.

Have you tried the bra on? I used to be a 34B (self diagnosed), could still wear that when I put on weight (spillage through back fat and not boobs when I put on weight). Did boob or bust after losing weight (pretty much back to where I was 20kg down) and was a 32F. No way was I an F!! Found one in that size randomly in M&S and it fitted perfectly. The wire came more to my armpits than I was used to, but didn’t get any back fat issues and the cups were so slight and complete covered my boobs with no gaps. I was pretty shocked!

I had since gone on to just wear crop tops, so only do underwire if it’s essential (pretty much never). But a big cup size doesn’t mean you have big boobs - as I now know!

Sorry, will edit to say this measurement was post baby, so was even more shocked as my boobs didn’t grow at all when I was pregnant or feeding!

I definitely have skinny boobs now. Like two half empty bean bags 😂

I’ll have to order a load I suppose. Or work out how to try some on. Every M&S near me has closed or moved!

To give some context, I wore a crop top hiking bra the other day and sideways on I looked almost completely flat chested 😂.

Still glad I lost the weight, but waaah my boobs!
