How to deal with an eBay selling problem

I sold an item on eBay and sent it off.

I received this from the buyer just now. Is it up to me to chase Evri? When I had something that didn't turn up I got a refund through eBay.

Hi..... I know this says delivered...but i can assure you...it hasn't been.... the evri drivers lie !!!.. I live in a village and often they lie about delivery.... can you plse ask them to send you proof of delivery.... because i know as a matter of fact they have to take pics !!!!.... thanks

I checked eBay and it's showing as delivered.

Our local facebook is full of Evri parcels abandoned, delivered to random addresses and so on. I would not trust them to deliver. File a complaint if it has not arrived

Our evri driver was awful, he would take photos of the packages on his passenger seat or inside the van and that would be the delivery photo he uploaded.He wouldn't knock on the door or even wait to see if you were a actually in before driving off and some folk in our village had their parcels just tossed over the fence because he was too lazy to walk up the path. Not seen him for a few weeks , I'm so hoping he's been fired at last as he got away with it for years. The new driver actually delivers quite quickly and is early morning too which is so much better. To answer you question , yes you need to chase them up

You need to look at the tracking on Evri? Did you ship it with a proof of delivery required ( I dont )?

Did you send it via EBay’s simple delivery? If so tell the buyer to contact eBay as once you have sent to via the eBay printed label, that’s your side done.

I did use simple delivery and I've contacted the buyer to sort it out with eBay.

You need to raise a lost parcel with Evri.

I've been in this situation as a seller and as a buyer and always the seller refunds and raises lost parcel.

Sometimes Evri magically finds the parcel once you've raised the lost parcel with them.

i sell on EBay and have for over 25 years!

im assuming you’re a private seller? If so - did you use simple delivery? It should say on the sales order if EBay took the postage or you were charged it? If your messages between you have a message from EBay saying your buyer has reached out and some waffle about simple delivery then it’s simple delivery

assuming it was simple delivery, its up to the buyer to take it up with EBay, you literally can’t help! You won’t lose your money and EBay most likely will refund the buyer (but do not tell them that)

if you didn’t use simple delivery then it is up to you to sort I’m afraid, you will need to check the tracking and the gps (available on the Evri app) and photo and see where it was delivered. If they’re telling the truth, you’ll need to refund them the whole lot and persue a claim through Evri

Ah just seen it’s simple delivery - excellent, you’re all sorted and if they leave you bad feedback because of that you can appeal to have it removed!

I sell on Ebay.
As you've used Simple delivery, the buyer needs to contact Ebay who should sort it out.
You or the buy can check on the Evri tracker whete the item has been delivered to. I send screen shots of these to the buyer so they can track down the parcel.
There should be a photo and GPS. If Ebay look at Evri tracker and decide it has been delivered to the buyer, they won't refund them.
As long as Evri tracking says that Evri has had the parcel, you won't lose any money.

Do not refund anything at this stage. let Ebay sort it.

I believe (99% sure) that ebay now forces every private seller to use simple delivery, we don't have a choice unless item is collection only.

There has been an issue recently with evri deliveries - since it was sold to dpd, that parcels are being marked on the selling platform as delivered, buy still showing undelivered on the evri site when tracking number is checked.

Happened to me and a neighbour so it must be widespread. I screenshot the evri page showing undelivered, and sent to vinted. Was followed up.with an email from evri own customer service team. 2 weeks later it was marked as lost parcel. Seller got to keep her money, I got a refund. Please check the evri website to see if this has happened here.
Nice ending to mine though, parcel was returned to the seller who messaged me before re listing the items and I got them yesterday.

I did check the tracking and it said it was delivered at 19.19 last night. The buyer got no photo though which he was expecting.
