Books to support child ADHD diagnosis

Can anyone recommend a book for a child who has been diagnosed with ADHD? We are in this situation with our 8 year old son after years of struggle. An ASD diagnosis may follow (assessment for that is next month)

We haven't discussed it with him yet and plan to wait for the outcome of the second assessment. Id really like something to support the conversations we will be having about how this diagnosis will (hopefully) help him feel more understood. He's very scientific and logical so something that explains it from that point of view would be helpful.

I also don't want anything that's too 'adhd is my superpower ' as to be honest in our family it has been and still is massively limiting and upsetting and I don't want to sort of gaslight him by explaining this as being a wonderful thing - something factual and neutral would hit the mark better for us.

Similarly if there's something that will help explain it to my 10yo DD that would be great (same book or different maybe!) She's really struggled with his behaviour a lot particularly in the last year as he has had increasingly aggressive meltdowns and it will be good to finally offer an explanation to her about what might underlie the behaviour.

Thanks!

Wonderfully Wired Brains by Louise Goodling
All Dogs have ADHD by Kathy Hoopmann

Wonderfully Wired Brains was recommended by our psychologist who did my sons follow up after an ASD assessment. My son is 7 so we haven't had the discussion with him yet but we plan on using this book when we do tell him. The book with dogs and ADHD is a fun book recommended by our local autism support group, although it isn't very science based its still a lovely book (we have the book All cats are on the Autism Spectrum).

Thanks so much, will look up both of these!

There’s a teacher on TikTok who has adhd himself and wrote a book called ADHD wrapped up which is meant to be quite good. It was a bit young for my boy as he was only diagnosed this summer and he’s 14.
