I would say 7 nothing bad but nothing overwhelming brilliant

So far not too bad. Started with a bang on New Year's Day, with DS and his partner splitting up (12.20am). Youngest DS did well in his GCSEs and is happy with his A Level choices. A legal situation that I was involved in is coming to a close (I won).

On balance I'd say a 7 or an 8.

Awful awful awful
lost DH in May to a rare agressive blood cancer 6 weeks after diagnosis. He only got ill in February.

2 other dear friends also died.

hoping the final 2 months continue uneventfully
