I’ve a twelve year old daughter, seven year old nephew, and nine year old niece and they won’t stop chanting it and moving their hands up and down! Does anyone know what the fuck this means and why there’s such a craze with it?

It’s not to do with drugs, every generation has a whole bunch of stupid basically meaningless catchphrase type shit they say and the older generation fret and worry and say it’s drug related. This is one of them, it’s basically from a combination of meme/edit culture and basketball on TikTok, annoying but harmless.

Just saw a child wearing a Christmas jumper that says 6..7..
Bet they bought it on temu/ shein.

The kids at my school do it (so fun talking about potential grades with year 11) so I do it too. My theory is the more I do it, the less cool it becomes so they stop… it’s just a silly trend they’ll do until the next one comes along…

Therese Ryan put up a funny post saying they are doing 6/7 but wait until they are working 9 to 5🤣

I respond with "why was 6 scared of 7" they tend to reply with "because 7 ate 9" and then it segues into other daft jokes which are more tolerable.

It's definitely dying off. I'm hearing it more from 7yos than teenagers now.

My door number is that. So many kids at Halloween were delighted. Don’t think most knew of any drug reference. My 20 and 22 year old felt old as they didn’t know about it either.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You’ve been had there.

This. It’s from a song but it means nothing.

whatawalley · 23/11/2025 02:24

I said it to my 23 year old to see what would happen. She just said "really mum"

marmalade007 · 23/11/2025 03:03

It's slightly less annoying than sigma and rizz, well not much. It means absolutely nothing. Gen x all think it means "average" but it means nothing. Ignore it and it will go away. Fading out already.😄
