Need a clever way of storing & labelling charge cables for various gadgets?

We have charging cables for speakers, headphones, phones, and other gadgets that generally end up on the kitchen worktop or in The Drawer. It’s hard to find the right cable and it’s messy! Does anyone have a clever way of organising cables so they’re out of sight and that makes it easy to find the right one?

I put mine in a zip case that has elastic loops (the same kind of case you store knitting needles in, and I just thread the cables through the loops. I don't label them because I can tell what's what, but maybe you could wrap a sticky label around them in different colours for each?

Sorry for the massive link!

We changed every charging port on the gadgets to 'statik' so we now need only one type of cable. It's helped tremendously.

Get a label printer and print loop labels for the cables and also print on the black box power supplies.

I have about 40 million black box power supplies. Fortunately I have only ever ruined one thing by plugging in the wrong one (plugged a 12V box into a 5V device).

Black box power supplies should be standardised by law, in the same way USB C charging ports have been standardised.

I put a sticker with the name of gadget around the wire, put it into a plastic freezer bag and store them in an small tub in the hoover cupboard.

I use a Christmas light organiser and a label maker for mine.

I do!

step 1. I bought Velcro tabs that you can write on and labeled every single cable and item. It requires a sharpie, but it works. I kind of wanted to just make tabs with my label maker, but DH wasn’t keen.
step 2. Use some kind of tie to wrap up each cable. I like the silicone covered magnetic twist ties. The Velcro strips also work and are cheaper.
step 3. Divided bins with categories. Not tiny ones like you see for sale as cable organizers. I got ones that are sold for organizing things like toddler food pouches. Label each bin section.
Step 3a If you have a lot of one kind of item, subdivide by length. Include the length on the label. This is surprisingly helpful.
Step 3b. Don’t just put cables here. We have cables, ear buds, pop sockets, adapters, plugs, power banks, etc. everything someone might come to me in a panic and need, I have it in one spot. This is especially useful when I have a kid who needs non-microphone earbuds for an exam (a frequent requirement at her school) but because of SN has a tendency to lose them.

I am being driven to distraction by cables, it doesn't help that in a family of 4 we have phones that charge by lightning and by USB C, same with airpods, Ipads etc, plus quite a lot of micro-USB devices (kindles, rechargeable bike lights etc) also DH decided to switch some of our sockets to ones with USB sockets and some with USBC sockets so we have every conceivable type of cable and can never find the one you want. Also no one ever puts them away. So following for solutions!

For all the spare ones that don't get used much I have put them all in zip lock plastic bags labelled with sharpie according to type and all in a basket. But it's the ones in frequent use I need help with. We have a big basket of them on the kitchen counter and it's always overflowing as things like power packs get dumped in there too.
