Is there a savings pot app?

I want to save money for a holiday in April. I struggle to save because if it’s in my account I spend it. First to admit I’m not great with money. Is there an app for this?

Monzo

Could you open a savings account for the holiday money?
Alternatively, I use the HyperJar app, where you can create pots to separate out your money, e.g. food, petrol, holiday, clothes.

Is that specifically for saving, as opposed to just another account? Thanks

I use starling banking like this. You can create spaces for different pots. So useful.

With Chase you can have separate pots for different things - holidays, gifts, car etc

Starling and Monzo both do this, but I have found that because it is still right there in front of me it is still a little too easy to just ‘borrow’ a bit here and there.
What worked for me was opening a savings account with a different bank entirely and setting up a standing order to it each month. The money has just added up and I haven’t touched it, partly because it’s not in front of me, partly because It’s not so easy to transfer it.

With Starling, you should have a button for ‘spaces’ along the bottom - from there click ‘add space’ and customise as you wish.

I have a chase account they i just send my holiday money too. It’s away from my eyeline and as they are no fee abroad
I keep my spending money in there and use it on holiday.
